报告摘要:
Evolutionary path of power systems is at a crossroad due to significant changes occurred/occurring in physical system (energy sources, generations, grid architectures, loads, etc.); operation economics (power markets, ownerships, responsibility, etc.); applications of new techniques (power electronics and AI, etc.); more extreme nature/human-caused events; Interconnection and management interdependence with other systems. Therefore, significant challenges from different aspects will be faced by researchers and engineers in these areas. The major changes and challenges from reliability and resilience aspects will be discussed.
报告人简介:
Dr Peng Wang (IEEE Fellow) received his B.Sc. degree from Xian Jiaotong University, China, in 1978, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He joined School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore as an assistant professor in 1999, where he currently is a full professor. His research areas include power system reliability, resilience, architecture, economics and operation, smart grids and hybrid AC/DC micro grids. He has been the principal investigator of the multi-million research projects from different countries such as Singapore, China, Europe, etc.
